With so much on offer whether you are travelling as a couple, family or part of a group The Sunrise Coast has a range of days out for all. There’s sure to be something to suit everyone.
The natural environment of the area provides the ideal settings for a day out, whether you choose to do this by a relaxing river cruise, exploring The Broads on a day boat or enjoy the thrills in a blast along the Suffolk Coast on Coastal Voyager.
The Sunrise Coast is blessed with a number of quality family attractions. Pleasurewood Hills is one of the regions largest theme parks with over 40 rides, shows and attractions including the largest roller coaster in East Anglia “Wipeout”.
Africa-Alive! – African animal adventure gives the chance for visitors to take a step into Africa. With the Lion Enclosure, Plains of Africa (including Rhino, Giraffe and Zebra) and the new Lion Cubs all set within 100 acres of parkland, Africa Alive is one of the most popular attractions on the East Coast.
Other animal attractions to experience include family petting zoo’s, Llama and Camel centres and of course seafront donkey rides at Lowestoft.
Visitors also will be able to get closer to nature at Suffolk Wildlife Trust who host a number of events throughout the year, from educational days, wildlife activities to picturesque walks. There is something for all the family to enjoy.
The award winning Southwold Pier is popular with all visitors to the area, whether it’s simply enjoying a cup of tea whilst taking in the views of the Suffolk Coast, viewing the unique water clock or experiencing the fun of the bizarre Under the Pier Show, the Pier is a must visit.
The Sunrise Coast is a year round destination and you will find a large range of activities and attractions open throughout the year. There is a range of children’s indoor play areas that will keep young children entertained whatever the weather and there is a choice of swimming pools and leisure centres to choose from to allow you to keep active on your holiday.
